What Makes A Trudge Mentor Different?
I began working as a drug and alcohol counselor at 20, (I am now 55) and since then I’ve worked in detox, treatment, prevention, and intensive outpatient programs (IOP). Today, I serve as a recovery coach and peer support mentor. I do this work because I love helping others and I see a real need for honest, lived-experience guidance in recovery.

“I’ve known Dion Miller for three years, and his loyalty to the recovery community is invaluable. He’s a tireless advocate for substance use treatment, an exceptional 12-step facilitator, and his personal testimony shows what’s possible in sobriety. Dion’s passion comes from the soul—he’s truly an asset to anyone he works with.”

“Raw Recovery—or The Daily Trudge as I know it—feels real and relatable. Dion speaks our language, mixing humor with honesty, and every segment hits home. It’s one of my favorite parts of the day.”
